President Erdoğan: Universities are centers of freedom and also pioneers of change across the world

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of Istanbul Medeniyet University’s Central Laboratory and the groundbreaking ceremony of its library in Istanbul.

“WE HAVE GOALS AND EXPECTATIONS REGARDING THE FUTURE”

Stating that Turkey has goals and expectations regarding the future, President Erdoğan said: “With the power and courage we derive from our glorious past, we endeavor to build our future. We aim to elevate Turkey above the level of contemporary civilizations.”

Underscoring that Turkey, which is the representative of a thousands-of-years-old civilization, and has global and regional goals must rank higher in all areas, especially in scientific works, President Erdoğan noted that no struggle can come off without the support and contributions of the academic world, said: “Universities are centers of freedom and also pioneers of change across the world.”
