President Erdoğan unveils his cabinet

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, re-elected in the presidential runoff on May 28, 2023, announced his vice president and cabinet during a press conference at Çankaya Presidential Palace in Ankara.

Noting that Türkiye has left behind yet another election, which has further reinforced the country’s democracy and has featured many firsts in the nation’s history, President Erdoğan expressed his wish for the election results to be auspicious for the Turkish nation.

“TODAY TÜRKİYE IS STRONGER THAN YESTERDAY”

Türkiye not only made an election but also decided its next century on May 14 and May 28, stressed the President, and said: “Our nation defended its will along with its independence and future. Today Türkiye is stronger than yesterday. Our democracy is more resilient than ever. Our tomorrows are brighter now compared to before May 28. I would like to thank each and every one of our more than 54 million citizens who made their choices by democratic means at the ballot boxes on May 14 and May 28. I particularly congratulate our brothers and sisters living abroad who duly fulfilled their responsibilities towards our country in both rounds of the elections. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our 27 million 835 thousand citizens who once again deemed me worthy of the presidency. I offer my thanks to our partners within the People’s Alliance for their support.”
