President Erdoğan visits Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan inspected the ongoing preparations at the Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque, which will reopen for worship with Friday prayers tomorrow after an 86-year hiatus, and unveiled its nameplate.

The President, accompanied during the visit by First Lady Emine Erdoğan, Vice President Fuat Oktay and President of Religious Affairs Ali Erbaş, was briefed by Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy and Governor of Istanbul Ali Yerlikaya about the ongoing preparations for the Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque’s reopening for worship tomorrow.
