President Erdoğan visits Khiva

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is in Uzbekistan for an official visit, visited Khiva, one of the most important centers of the Turkish–Islamic history.

President Erdoğan and First Lady Emine Erdoğan, accompanied by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and First Lady Ziroat Mirziyoyeva of Uzbekistan, came to the city of Urgench as part of the President’s programme in Uzbekistan.

When the two leaders and their accompanying delegations arrived in Ichan-Kala area in Khiva, a welcoming ceremony was held.

After the ceremony, President Erdoğan and President Mirziyoyev toured the historical spots in the area.
