President Erdoğan: We aim to make Turkey a hub of Industry 4.0 technologies
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan sent a video message for the opening ceremony of Turkey’s Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Pointing out that the Industry 4.0 center in Turkey is one of the two in entire Europe, President Erdoğan stated that the center will be run by the Turkish Employers Association of Metal Industries (MESS), and underlined: “We aim to make Turkey a hub of the Fourth Industrial Revolution products and technologies in line with our National Technology Initiative.”
Expressing his belief that the works to be conducted by the center will have significant contributions both economically and socially, President Erdoğan emphasized the importance of international cooperation so as to create a more efficient climate of opportunity building upon national experiences in digital transformation.
Drawing attention to the importance Turkey attaches to multilateral cooperation, President Erdoğan said: “We are determined to make use of every opportunity to take our policies to a global scale and play an active role in international developments with our public and private sectors. The profound change in the lives of states and societies as a result of technology starting from the first industrial revolution to this day pushes us to prepare much better for the fourth industrial revolution. Qualified human resources stand out as the most critical element of the digitalization process. Turkey is embarking on this process quite prepared with its relatively young, highly educated, and committed population.”
