President Erdoğan: We are committed to our goals for 2023 with greater faith and resolve

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed citizens during a campaign rally in the province of Uşak ahead of the local elections slated for March 31, 2019.

“We endeavor to carry to the future what our people have entrusted to us. We have fought against powers of tutelage, against those who want to stir up trouble on the streets, against the traitors within the police force and the judiciary,” President Erdoğan said.

President Erdoğan continued his speech as follows: “They have tried to use every election to take revenge on the national will. Sometimes they tried to hit us through the members of the FETO. Sometimes they tried to choke our country with the claws of terrorist organizations, ditch attacks, suicide bombers. When none of that worked, they directly targeted our people’s lives with tanks, warplanes, helicopters and guns. When they failed again, they tried to isolate our country by establishing a terror corridor along our borders. When we directly took the field and thwarted that plot, they attacked our economy and targeted our people’s jobs and their bread. They have recently been staging some plots through exchange rates. As Turkey increases its foreign exchange reserves, reigns in the inflation rates, accelerates its investments, generates jobs, consolidates its confidence index, they get more ferocious. They think they can dissuade our country from our main goals by stalling our country through such plots. However, we are committed to our goals for 2023 with much greater faith and resolve.”

“We are more committed than ever to foiling the plots over Turkey and the Turkish people,” President Erdoğan underscored.
