President Erdoğan: We are determined to make sure that our country takes its rightful place in the global system that will be reshaped after the pandemic

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan issued a message and congratulated all citizens on Eid al-Fitr.

“Good days, inshallah, await us even though we are having a sad Eid due to the troubles caused by the pandemic. During the last Eid al-Fitr, we were hoping to get rid of this plague by the end of the year. However, we have also been inevitably affected by the negative outcomes of the pandemic, which in the following months have influenced the entire world in new waves.  

As a necessity of our responsibility towards our nation, we have had to introduce restrictions in the face of rising numbers of new cases, ICU patients and deaths. We spent the month of Ramadan mostly under the shadow of restrictions.

“WE WILL BE TAKING NORMALIZATION STEPS IN A CONTROLLED MANNER FOLLOWING THE EID”

We will, inshallah, have taken the pandemic under control and will be taking normalization steps in a controlled manner following the Eid. We will determinedly carry on our fight against this threat, which has affected the entire world including our vicinity. Besides keeping our health system strong, we will employ every method and means, first and foremost the vaccination, against the pandemic threat. We have been acting with the knowledge that this is a challenge which is difficult but heralds a bright outcome. 

Through our relief packages, we have extended our hand to the segments adversely affected by the pandemic measures and to every citizen of ours experiencing troubles. We have taken every step and provided every assistance to support production, employment, growth and development. Nonetheless, we know that there are still citizens who experience troubles, with their incomes declining and their businesses disrupted. Inshallah, we will resolve their problems as soon as possible. Just as we turned Turkey from a country which was fragile politically, economically and socially 20 years ago into a country which today makes its words heard in its region and the world, we will also resolve the current problems in the same manner. We are determined to make sure that our country takes its rightful place in the global political and economic system that will be reshaped after the pandemic. We have been working day and night to that end.

“WE WILL OVERCOME THE PANDEMIC AND ACHIEVE OUR COUNTRY’S GOALS”

It is an undeniable fact that behind almost every incident occurring in our region lies the intention to deprive Turkey of its gains and stop it from achieving its goals. We refer to our nation’s wisdom those who spit their venom against our country which they don’t even find it necessary to conceal any longer and those who voluntarily serve their scenarios as an extra. We won’t leave the ground to those who exploit even the pandemic, which affects the entire world, for this purpose.

Reaping the rewards of our sacrifices and efforts, we will, inshallah, overcome the pandemic and achieve our country’s goals. I pray to my Lord that we will all reach next Ramadan with health and peace. I once again congratulate you on Eid al-Fitr. Peace be upon you!”
