President Erdogan: We are proud that our military has reached a level where it can carry out by its own means every operation our country needs
President and Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at the party’s congresses in Rize in person, and in Aksaray, Eskişehir and Konya via video conference.
Pointing to the statement made by the U.S. following the massacre committed by the PKK, President Erdoğan recalled the thousands of truckloads of weapons and ammunition delivered to terrorists, and said that the US must stand with Turkey, not terrorists, in order for the solidarity under NATO to continue.
The Turkish Armed Forces neutralized 53 terrorists in an operation it conducted in one of the toughest regions of the world, President Erdoğan said referring to Gara. “We are proud that our military has reached a level where it can carry out by its own means every operation which is necessary for the survival of our country and our country needs irrespective of time and place.”

Stressing that the PKK terrorist organization no longer has anything to do with the peoples of the region, with Turkey or with universal humanitarian and moral values, President Erdoğan said: “It has become a duty of ours to fully crush the terrorist organization. We will maintain our fight until we neutralize the last single member of this terrorist organization, which has turned into a herd of hitmen that can be used unconditionally by anyone in return for money.”
Underscoring that Qandil, Sinjar and Syria are no longer safe for terrorists, President Erdoğan noted that Turkey is in agreement with the regional and central administrations in Iraq to fully eliminate the terrorist organization and that new strategies are being developed to free Arabs, Kurds and Turkmens from the yoke of the terrorist organization in Syria as well.
“I am hereby openly telling the world once again. After the massacre committed in Gara, no country, no organization, no group or no person can question, criticize or oppose Turkey’s operations in Iraq and Syria any more. That is so because the perpetrators of this massacre take strength and courage from those who have thus far supported the terrorist organization with a blind animosity towards Turkey. While the separatist terrorist organization massacres our innocent people right beside our borders and thus hurts us, half-baked remarks regarding here delivered from thousands of miles away no longer have any value. There are two paths lying ahead of everyone. They will either act with Turkey, take a stand against terror without any ifs, ands, or buts. Or they will be held accountable first in consciences and then at international platforms as party to every murder committed by this bloody terrorist organization,” the President said.
