President Erdoğan: We attach great importance to our close cooperation with Africa

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is in Angola for an official visit, attended the Turkey-Angola Business Forum.

Describing both his bilateral talk with President João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço of Angola and the meeting between the delegations as productive, President Erdoğan said: “We thoroughly discussed during our talks the economic and trade relations between the two countries. Reiterating that Turkey and Angola have specific features that complement each countries, we have determined that there are several opportunities of cooperation in a wide range of areas. I believe that the decisions we have reached with Mr. President will carry the friendship between our countries further forward.”

Underscoring that although it was politicians’ duty to eliminate setbacks in bilateral relations, the true potential of two countries, particularly in the areas of trade and investments, could be unlocked by members of the business world, President Erdoğan noted: “We as Turkey attach great importance and value to our close cooperation with the continent of Africa. We desire to advance our relations on the basis of win-win and equal partnership while observing mutual respect. With this understanding, we have strived to strengthen our cooperation with the continent of Africa without any discrimination since we took office.”
