President Erdoğan: We embrace each and every one of our citizens

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at a gathering of citizens from Trabzon at Sinan Erdem Sports Hall in Istanbul.

“IT IS OUR DUTY TO PROTECT OUR 6.5 MILLION BROTHERS ABROAD”

Pointing to the nearly 6.5 million citizens of Turkey living abroad, President Erdoğan said: “Just as we dote on our 82 million citizens, it is also our duty to protect our 6.5 million brothers abroad. Just as we defend the rights of Al-Quds against occupiers, it is also our responsibility to defend the rights of our people against the neo-Nazi terror.”

President Erdoğan went on to say: “Just as we rush to the aid of Al-Quds, Turkistan, the Balkans and Africa, we also embrace each and every one of our citizens in our 81 provinces. We are knitting our country stitch by stitch, so-to-speak, with very important structures, and are building roads, tunnels, hospitals, airports and railway systems that make life easier for our citizens.”

“THERE IS A UN RESOLUTION ON THE GOLAN HEIGHTS”

Also touching upon the terrorist act in New Zealand, President Erdoğan underscored that it was not an ordinary incident, adding that the issue is as vital as the attacks of the separatist terrorist organization and of the DAESH. President Erdoğan further noted that since the neo-Nazi terror threatens the 6.5 citizens of Turkey living abroad the most, they cannot remain unresponsive to or ignore these attacks.

Recalling U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision on the Golan Heights, President Erdoğan highlighted that there is a United Nations resolution on the Golan Heights adopted in 1967, and that U.S. President Trump does not have such an authority or right. The President added: “After all, the European Union rejects it. We, as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, reject it. Russia and China reject it. It is impossible for them to have such a thing passed at the UN Security Council.”
