President Erdoğan: We have built a strong technological infrastructure

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at an event held with the theme of “Blockchain Istanbul” at Istanbul University Cemil Bilsel Conference Hall.

“While working to make up for Türkiye’s century-old investment shortcomings, we have not neglected to build a strong technological infrastructure in keeping with the spirit of time,” President Erdoğan noted, and added: “Obviously, technology is an area that has over the last century advanced at a very fast pace, which has recently grown even faster. And it is a must for us to adapt ourselves to this pace. Otherwise, we cannot achieve Türkiye’s goals of our 2053 vision.”

Underscoring that research and development activities lied at the heart of the gains achieved in technology, President Erdoğan said that the progress Türkiye had made in the area of research and development, and the amount of sources it had used for the past 20 years were of importance in terms of showing the leap Türkiye had made in this area.
