President Erdoğan: We have introduced many support packages to keep the wheels of economy turning and maintain employment
President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered remarks via videoconference at the meeting of AK Party’s provincial heads.
Noting that the COVID-19 pandemic has been taken under control to a great extent, President Erdoğan stated that the normalization schedule has been activated and that further steps will be taken so long as the relevant data follow a favorable course.

Stating that the decision regarding social areas and workplaces that are still closed will be made after the Eid al-Fitr in line with the developments, President Erdoğan said that Turkey has gained appreciation as one of the best countries of the world in the pandemic period and that no citizen was left out of the coverage of the universal health insurance thanks to its inclusivity.
Underlining that that no shortage or deficiency was suffered in terms of medicines and equipment needed by hospitals and medical personnel across the country, President Erdoğan stressed that Turkey experienced none of the saddening scenes that were witnessed in many places of the world and that relevant Turkish ministries and bodies were immensely successful in managing the pandemic process.

Drawing attention to the effective steps taken to overcome the problems caused by the measures against the pandemic, President Erdoğan said: “We have introduced many support packages in order to keep the wheels of economy turning and maintain employment. Given the current situation, we outperform even the developed countries, let alone the others.”
Pointing out that the daily life will continue according to the new rules for some more time both in Turkey and across the world, President Erdoğan asked citizens to adhere to the realities of the new order which he said would be summarized as wearing mask, exercising social distancing and preserving hygiene.
