President Erdoğan: We have launched a great development initiative in every area in our cities

 

President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at a meeting in Istanbul held to introduce the Justice and Development (AK) Party’s mayoral candidates for the March 31 local elections.

“WE WILL LAY OUT PRINCIPLES AIMED AT MEETING THE FUTURE NEEDS OF OUR CITIES”

Noting that they will announce their election manifesto next month, President Erdoğan stated that they have launched a great development initiative in every area, from infrastructure to superstructure, in the cities they have won in previous elections, and added: “As our country develops and our nation’s views on issues deepens, we see that the methods of governing the state and cities also change. That is why we will lay out principles aimed at meeting not the past or present but the future needs of our cities in our manifesto.”

Following his speech, President Erdoğan introduced AK Party’s mayoral candidates for 14 metropolises and 26 municipalities for the March 31 local elections.
