President Erdoğan: We have said that we might come over one night all of a sudden, and we have kept our promise

 

President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan participated in a meeting held by AK Party’s Istanbul branch at Haliç Congress Center.

“ISTANBUL IS TURKEY’S MOST COLORFUL AND MOST INCLUSIVE CITY”

Delivering a speech during the meeting, President Erdoğan, referring to the local elections scheduled for March 31, 2019, said that holding Istanbul’s local administration is way beyond holding an ordinary municipality’s administration, and added that Istanbul is Turkey’s most colorful, richest, most inclusive and biggest city. Citing his recent phone call with Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany, President Erdoğan noted that Mrs. Merkel has also offered her congratulations to them for nominating Mr. Binali Yıldırım as AK Party’s candidate for Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.

Also touching upon Turkey’s fight against terror, President Erdoğan stated: “We have said that we might come over one night all of a sudden, and we have kept our promise. We have wiped out terrorists in their caves.”
