President Erdoğan: We have strengthened our democracy as we have grown our economy

 

President and Party’s Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan introduced Party’s mayoral candidates for Trabzon and its districts at a gathering at Hayri Gür Sports Hall.

Making remarks on the upcoming local elections scheduled for March 31 during the gathering, President Erdoğan said: “We have never interfered with anyone’s lifestyle, way of dressing or political view as long as it does not praise terror and violence. We have expanded, strengthened our democracy and ensured that it has taken root in all our state institutions as we have grown our economy and increased our investments. Needless to say, together with all this, we have always endeavored to renew and develop ourselves in line with the spirit of the time and our country’s conditions.”

INVESTMENTS MADE IN TRABZON

Also touching upon the investments made in Trabzon during their administration, President Erdoğan recalled that they have made an investment of TL30 billion in the city throughout this period, and elaborated that among these investments are Trabzon’s second university, several dormitories, highways, tunnels, dams, classrooms, hospitals, sports halls, youth centers as well as a 41 000-spectator modern stadium. Works of such new projects as Akçaabat and Avni Aker people’s garden projects are continuing, the President added.

Following his remarks, President Erdoğan introduced the AK Party’s mayoral candidate for Trabzon, Murat Zorluoğlu, and the party’s other 16 mayoral candidates for the 16 districts of the city.
