President Erdoğan: We have supported and transformed our cities with massive investments

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with mayors from across the country during a consultation meeting in Ankara.

Making a speech at the meeting, President Erdoğan emphasized the importance he attaches to municipal services and local administrations.

Stressing that Türkiye, cognizant of the continually growing threat the climate change poses to humanity, has placed the Green Development Revolution at the center of its vision for 2053, President Erdoğan said: “A wide range of topics from clean energy to waste management to the enhancement of green areas that come to the forefront within the scope of the Green Development Revolution concern our municipalities as well. I invite you to focus on these issues, make the necessary preparations without delay and lend support to the Green Development Revolution.”

Highlighting the government’s legislations and vision about sustainable urbanization and climate, President Erdoğan stated: “In this regard, we have supported, strengthened and transformed our cities, which we see as the most important pillars of our civilization, with massive investments over the past 19 years. Since we transitioned to the new system of government in 2018, we have implemented 12 thousand 700 projects with a total investment value of TL 300 billion in the area of environment and urbanization alone. These projects, which cover all of our provinces and districts, allow us to look to the future more confidently.”
