President Erdoğan: We have taken all necessary measures against coronavirus
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a press conference at Esenboğa Airport in Ankara before leaving for Baku to attend the 8th meeting of the Turkey-Azerbaijan High Level Strategic Cooperation Council.
In answer to a question on what kind of measures Turkey has taken against coronavirus now that there are reports of infected patients in Iran and Iraq, President Erdoğan said: “We cannot ignore any concerns about health. In light of the works conducted by our Ministry of Health and Science Board, we have to make the most appropriate decision. The step we have taken is a result of that because if the coronavirus spreads to our country from there, it can – Allah forbid! - reach serious levels here. We have taken all the necessary measures so far.”
