President Erdoğan: We have taken historic steps to strengthen Istanbul’s education infrastructure

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the mass opening ceremony of the education investments in Istanbul.

President Erdoğan said: “We have taken many historic steps to strengthen the education infrastructure of Istanbul. For instance, we have increased the number of classrooms, which was around 40 thousand in 2002, to some 129 thousand today, moving it up by more than three times. Also, we have elevated the number of teachers from 67 thousand to 176 thousand, again with a three-fold increase.”
