President Erdoğan: We hear about attacks targeting our citizens in Europe on a daily basis

President and Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke during a campaign rally in the province of Tekirdağ in the run-up to the local elections scheduled for March 31, 2019.

TERROR ATTACK IN NEW ZEALAND

Noting that Tekirdağ is one of the three Turkish provinces entirely located on the European continent, President Erdoğan, referring to the terror attack against the Al Noor Mosque in New Zealand, said: “Your presence here as well as your unity and solidarity and the values you stand for apparently offended even the terrorist who raided a mosque and massacred Muslims in New Zealand.” Highlighting the fact that the weapons used by the terrorist in the attack in New Zealand was covered in the names of enemies of Muslims and Turks, President Erdoğan drew attention to the threats the terrorist hurled against Turks in his manifesto on social media.

“WE HEAR ABOUT ATTACKS TARGETING OUR CITIZENS IN EUROPE ON A DAILY BASIS”

Pointing out that Turkey is today both a powerful country and the most prosperous state in its region, President Erdoğan said that Turkey is getting closer to its goals for 2023 step by step.

“We hear about attacks targeting our citizens and their foundations, mosques and businesses in Europe on a daily basis. The terror corridor sought to be established next to our borders is also a part of the same scenario. The issue here is not about Tayyip Erdoğan or the People’s Alliance, which the AK Party and the MHP jointly founded. But the issue is directly related to Turkey and the Turkish people,” President Erdoğan further stressed, and added: “They target Turkey because they see us ─ with our history, civilization, culture and faith ─ as a representative of all the values they attack.”
