President Erdoğan: We keep developing new projects that will prepare our cities for the future

 

President and Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan unveiled the party’s manifesto for the local elections due for March 31, 2019, during an event at Ankara Sports Hall.

In his speech at the event, President Erdoğan stated that the manifesto outlines the Party’s promises to the citizens as well as the ethos it will adopt in local administrations following the March 31, 2019 elections.   

“WE WILL DRAW UP SHORT, MEDIUM AND LONG-TERM STRATEGY DOCUMENTS FOR OUR CITIES”

President Erdoğan said: “We know that every election stands as a test. We don’t make do with our past achievements on the road to success in the March 31, 2019 elections. Alongside this body of achievements, we keep developing new projects that will prepare our cities for the future. In the upcoming period, we will draw up short, medium and long-term strategy documents for our cities, in a similar vein to other visionary projects of Turkey’s. We will monitor all the plans, projects, investments and services through these strategy documents.”

Short-term goals will be reviewed every year, medium-term goals at the end of mayoral terms, and long-term goals against Turkey’s national vision for the years 2023, 2053 and 2071, noted President Erdoğan, adding: “We will continue to implement reforms that will take Turkey to the level of the most advanced democracies and economies of the world. Every success we achieve in metropolises, provinces, districts and towns will pave the way for our country’s bright future.”
