President Erdoğan: We will defend Turkey’s rights to the end
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed citizens in the Yusufeli district of Artvin.
After his address to the citizens, President Erdoğan inspected by helicopter the ongoing construction works of the Yusufeli Dam.
Answering reporters’ questions following the inspection, President Erdoğan described the attitude the West displays regarding the East Mediterranean as incomprehensible and added: “First of all, they don’t have respect for the international law and are unaware of our rights in the East Mediterranean. We carry on our works there with two drillships and two seismic vessels.”
Further stressing that Turkish drillships and seismic vessels are accompanied by relevant units of the Turkish Armed Forces during their activities in the East Mediterranean, President Erdoğan underlined Turkey’s determination not to allow anyone to usurp Turkey’s and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus’ rights emanating from the international law.
