President Erdoğan: We will show to the entire world our determination to defend our freedom and future
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the groundbreaking ceremony of the National Defense Ministry’s Star and Crescent Project.
“I CONGRATULATE OUR NATION AND OUR HEROIC MILITARY ON THE OCCASION OF THE VICTORY DAY”
Highlighting that the glorious Turkish military pushed the enemy from the heartland of Anatolia all the way to İzmir in 14 days, President Erdoğan said: “Inshallah, we will show to the entire world our determination to defend our freedom and future by passing down to the next generations the 30th of August spirit. I once again congratulate our nation and our heroic military on the occasion of the Victory Day.”
“Turkey’s changing and developing defense needs necessitated that all units serve under one roof, with a strong infrastructure and in close coordination,” President Erdoğan said, and added: “We aim to complete and inaugurate this project on October 29, 2023, the 100th anniversary of our Republic.”
Noting that the Star and Crescent Project would gather together the Ministry of National Staff, the General Staff and the force commands, President Erdoğan said: “May this beautiful project, which will meet the defense needs of Turkey, the rising star of its region and the world, yield auspicious results for our country, our nation and our military.”
