President Erdoğan: We will side with peace, not confrontation
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed citizens during an event held in Istanbul to mark Laylat al-Qadr.
Pointing to Operation Claw, conducted by the Turkish Armed Forces against the separatist terrorist organization in Northern Iraq, President Erdoğan extended his gratitude to all heroic Turkish soldiers that take part in it.
Underscoring that the oppression and massacre that have been going on for eight years in Syria continue to claim new lives each passing day, President Erdoğan also drew attention to what he described as the state terror against Al-Quds, and added that it has been blatantly continued to be conducted before the entire world.
“TURKEY IS AN ISLAND OF PEACE AMONG CONFLICTS”
Stating that Turkey is an island of peace among conflicts with its internal tranquility, democracy as well as with the unity and solidarity of its citizens, President Erdoğan noted that nothing is more important than Turkey’s independence and the future of the Turkish people.
President Erdoğan went on to say: “We will side with unity, not separation; with peace, not confrontation. We will endeavor to bring together each and every one of the 82 million around our common denominator, Turkey, and will keep doting on our brotherhood. We will continue to make Turkey grow bigger and stronger, and to elevate it as a symbol of peace and tranquility.”
