President Erdoğan: We will soon give those, who still insist on the same plot, new messages in a manner that befits them
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at an event in Ankara held to mark the 174th anniversary of the Turkish National Police.
“THE FACT THAT WE CELEBRATE THE 174TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE TURKISH NATIONAL POLICE IS AN EXPRESSION OF OUR HISTORICAL CONTINUITY”
“I congratulate the Turkish National Police, the guarantee of our nation’s security and peace, on its 174thanniversary. I remember with respect all the staff members of the Turkish National Police, who have served their country and nation to date,” President Erdoğan said.
“We’ve spent almost every single day of ours defending our state starting from Manzikert and Çanakkale to the recent incidents, particularly the July 15,” President Erdoğan underlined, noting: “The fact that we celebrate the 174th anniversary of the Turkish National Police is an expression of our historical continuity.”
“THOSE, WHO MISTAKE TURKEY FOR OTHER COUNTRIES, WILL SOONER OR LATER UNDERSTAND THAT TURKEY IS DIFFERENT”
President Erdoğan continued: “The magnitude of a nation is proportionate to its unity and solidarity as well as its state’s political, economic, military and diplomatic capabilities. The incidents in our region have again and again reminded us of the importance of national unity and solidarity and the importance of the state’s strength. It is enough just to have a look at our environs for us to see what catastrophes befall peoples whose states have fallen apart. In places with no security and peace, atrocities committed by terrorist organizations compete, so-to-speak, against atrocities committed by foreign powers that supposedly come to fight them. Therefore, we should strongly protect our state as well as such merits as security, justice and economy which sustain it.”
President Erdoğan further stressed: “We, with the steps we’ve taken, have shown those, who think they can bring us to our knees with the terror corridor sought to be formed along our borders, that this isn’t possible. We will soon give those, who still insist on the same plot, new messages in a manner that befits them. We are also well aware of their efforts to corner our country from different fronts. Those, who mistake Turkey for other countries, will sooner or later understand that Turkey is different.”
