President Erdoğan: We will tightly embrace our eternal brotherhood and work for the peace of our citizens

 

President and Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed citizens during campaign rallies in Istanbul’s districts of Tuzla, Pendik, Maltepe, Sultanbeyli, Çekmeköy, Ümraniye, Beykoz and Sarıyer ahead of the local elections scheduled for March 31, 2019.

“WE WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP AND STRENGTHEN TURKEY”

Expressing determination to decisively continue to exert efforts to further develop and strengthen Turkey, President Erdoğan stressed the importance of urban transformation in Istanbul and said that they will carry on finding solutions to the problems of the city as they have been doing over the past 25 years. 

Noting that the success of a president depends on the support of the people, President Erdoğan said: “A president can be successful and serve his country in the best manner only if the people support and stand with him.  I am the President of not only those who vote for me, but of all the 82 million citizens of ours.”

President Erdoğan continued: “I am the President of all whose hearts beat for our country and who love our flag and adhan even if they don’t vote for us. As the President of Turkey and the Turkish people, I will continue my march with great care as you signaled on June 24. We will not marginalize or discriminate against anyone. We will tightly embrace our eternal brotherhood and work for the peace of each one of our 82 million citizens. We will elevate our country to its rightful level with your support and prayers.”

Touching upon Turkey’s anti-terror operations, President Erdoğan stated that they are crushing the separatist terrorist organization inside and outside Turkey’s borders, and noted: “We have recently destroyed a team from the leading cadre in Qandil. We have broken into pieces the terror corridor they sought to establish in Syria. We will, inshallah, soon pound the plot in the east of the Euphrates on the heads of those who have designs on our country’s integrity and on our people’s unity.”

Underscoring that they have shown everyone, friend and foe alike, what capacity Turkey has reached in defense industry, President Erdoğan stated that the terror barons in Qandil who, he noted, used to threaten the state until a few years ago now look for a place to hide, adding that they have and are raiding terrorists’ lairs and will continue to do so. The President further stressed that they will not stop till they completely remove terror off the Turkish people’s agenda.

Also mentioning the rallies he has participated in so far, President Erdoğan said they have embraced each and every one of citizens during the rallies without discriminating against or marginalizing anyone, and that they have noted down citizens’ complaints to them, in addition to their expectations and demands from them. President Erdoğan added: “We will, inshallah, address all these issues in the four-and-a-half-year period ahead. We will work to resolve all the problems and setbacks experienced in several areas, from economy and trade to politics.”
