President Erdoğan: We will undoubtedly elevate Turkey above the level of contemporary civilizations
President and Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at a campaign rally in the province of Bartın in the run-up to the local elections scheduled for March 31, 2019.
Recalling that Turkey owed the IMF $23.5 billion when they came into office, President Erdoğan noted that they paid up all that amount in 2013.
Pointing out that there are no countries in the world without problems no matter how developed they are in infrastructure or how advanced they are economically, President Erdoğan said that the U.S. which has a national income of $19.5 trillion, also has economic problems, that France has grave social problems such as the yellow vests, and the U.K. which pioneered the industrial revolution two centuries ago today works to deal with Brexit-related problems.
“Such problems are quite normal in the natural course of life. Claiming otherwise is irrational and highly untruthful. What truly matters is not the problems or uncertainties but how you seek to solve them. What truly matters is to have the will to confront the problems. What truly matters is to address them, not cover them up. In the last 17 years, our country did that. That’s why we have succeeded. We will continue to do the same. We will not ignore any obstacles. We will determinedly address them all. We will undoubtedly elevate Turkey above the level of contemporary civilizations in education, healthcare, infrastructure, industry, agriculture, employment and social support.”
