President Erdoğan: With its status as a regional and global leader, Turkey is making its strongest progress in the last century
President and Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech during a meeting with the party’s provincial heads.
“THE JULY 15 COUP ATTEMPT IS ONE OF THE MOST TREACHEROUS ATTEMPTS IN OUR HISTORY”
“Next week, we will reach the 5th anniversary of the July 15 coup attempt. It was carried out by the FETO but had a much wider network behind it. It was one of the most treacherous attempts in our history. We stood together with our nation and thwarted this cowardly attempt by the first light of the day,” President Erdoğan said.
“WE WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP NEW POLICIES THAT HELP OUR PEOPLE LOOK TO THE FUTURE WITH CONFIDENCE”
“We have built our administration on the principle of ‘letting the people live so that the state can live.’ Therefore we have to ensure our citizens’ peace, safety and prosperity. To do that, we may take in the upcoming period additional supportive steps for our nation by taking into consideration the global course of the pandemic, economic developments and other matters. We always keep in mind that extreme times require extreme measures. In this spirit, we will maintain our country’s goals and continue to develop new policies that help our people look to the future with confidence. Our nation, especially our youth should rest assured. With its goals for 2023, vision for 2053, its robust infrastructure that is the product of our 19-year-long hard work, its status as a regional and global leader, the Republic of Turkey is making its strongest progress in the last century.”
