Turkey will continue to show the world how the map of Palestine changed since the start of the Israeli occupation, the Turkish president said on Friday.
“The whole world should know what this terror state of Israel is,” Recep Tayyip Erdogan said. Highlighting Thursday’s UN General Assembly meeting on Palestine, Erdogan said a “successful session” was held under the presidency of Volkan Bozkir, a Turkish diplomat, and with the attendance of Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, as well as other foreign ministers that stand together on the issue.
Underlining that he has pursued a policy of works and services throughout his life, President Erdoğan said: “We have elevated Turkey’s position in its region and the world to the level befitting our historical and civilizational heritage. We have brought our country to the threshold of a new epoch through our endeavors to produce policies of services and works -- every day, moment and phase of which is marked by challenging efforts.”
Noting that Turkey managed to maintain its efforts without deviating from its goals at a time when the coronavirus pandemic further accelerated the restructuring process of the global economic and political order, President Erdoğan stated that 655 billion liras’ worth of fund was put in the service of the nation by means of such practices as grant payments, support packages and debt reliefs.
Regarding the Palestine issue, President Erdoğan stated: “Our Foreign Minister and his counterparts with whom we act in collaboration held a successful session yesterday under the chairmanship of UNGA President Mr. Volkan Bozkır, an MP of ours. They shouted out something from there. What was it? They told how Palestine turned into its current state of just a piece of land as its lands had gradually been being occupied since 1947 by the terror state Israel. We will not stop telling. We will tell by showing maps because the entire world should know what this terror state Israel is.”
