President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the “Five Painters One City – My Beloved Istanbul” event.

Speaking at the “Five Painters One City – My Beloved Istanbul” event, President Erdoğan said: “From Marmaray to the Eurasia Tunnel, Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge to the Grand Çamlıca Mosque, Istanbul Airport to the Atatürk Culture Center, and from Hagia Sophia Mosque’s re-opening for worship to the Rami Library and many more, I am having the joy of leaving lasting marks and projects in Istanbul that will always be remembered with gratitude. We never have and never will settle for what we have already done for Istanbul.”

“I have always felt honored to have opened by eyes to the world in this city and having served this august city. It makes me proud that I have passionately served Istanbul and my fellow-citizens in Istanbul for 28 years, first as a mayor for 4.5 years and then as a prime minister and president,” President Erdoğan said.

President Erdoğan continued: “From Marmaray to the Eurasia Tunnel, Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge to the Grand Çamlıca Mosque, Istanbul Airport to the Atatürk Culture Center, and from Hagia Sophia Mosque’s re-opening for worship to the Rami Library and many more, I am having the joy of leaving lasting marks and projects in Istanbul that will always be remembered with gratitude. We never have and never will settle for what we have already done for Istanbul. As long as Allah grants us life and means, we will remain at the service of Istanbul and Istanbulites.”
