President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech during the opening ceremony of Bağcılar Maternity and Children’s Hospital in Istanbul

 

President Erdoğan said: “We have achieved a really huge transformation in healthcare over the past 23 years. We have provided our country with a modern healthcare infrastructure that is praised as exemplary and studied by many countries. With our general practitioners, clinics, hospitals and high-tech equipment, we are now at a level that was unimaginable 23 years ago.”

President Erdoğan went on: “Of course, there might be some shortcomings and deficiencies. However, we are working hard to address the complaints stemming from them. We have mobilized all our means and resources to ensure that our citizens receive the best possible services. Our guide in politics is that the state’s raison d'être is to serve its citizens. That is why we always say, ‘let the people live so that the state will live’. In this spirit, we are endeavoring to embrace all our citizens and extend all sorts of services even to the remotest corners of our country.”
