President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan shared a message on social media regarding Türkiye’s assistance following the recent flooding disaster in Bangladesh

"Türkiye is extending a helping hand to its friend and brotherly nation, Bangladesh, which is enduring difficult days due to the flood disaster," President Erdoğan stated. He noted that assistance coordinated by AFAD has been dispatched to the region, which has been affected by this major disaster, impacting over 5 million people.

President Erdoğan continued:

"We have begun distributing a total of 16,750 aid packages, particularly in areas severely affected by the disaster where road access has been cut off. We are actively maintaining our efforts with the support of AFAD, TİKA, and Turkish civil society organisations. We are committed to supporting our Bangladeshi brothers and sisters who are facing immense destruction, and we strive to help heal their wounds. Availing myself of this opportunity, I wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives in the disaster, wish a speedy recovery to the injured, and extend our heartfelt wishes to Bangladesh, assuring them of our continued support."
