Addressing the Debut of the Century of Türkiye Education Model, President Erdoğan said: “The Century of Türkiye Education Model has been developed with a perspective centered on our nation’s deep-rooted history, culture and values as well as its historical experience. Adhering to international standards, the model aims to meet the need for cutting-edge science and technology in today’s world.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the Debut of the Century of Türkiye Education Model in Istanbul.
“OUR OBJECTIVE IS TO HAVE A TRUTHFUL GENERATION THAT WOULD CARRY TÜRKİYE TO ITS VISIONS FOR 2053 AND 2071”
Stressing the importance of adopting an education system that encourages students to read, think and analyze, President Erdoğan said: “The aim of education systems is to raise wise, knowledgeable and free individuals who are highly skilled in communication, capable of adapting to changes, able to use information and communication technologies effectively, and live in harmony with themselves and their environment. Likewise, our objective is to have a pioneering, dignified, benevolent, fair and truthful generation that would carry Türkiye to its visions for 2053 and 2071.”
Drawing attention to the Ministry of National Education’s leading role in achieving the goals related to the Century of Türkiye, President Erdoğan said: “The Century of Türkiye Education Model has been developed with a perspective centered on our nation’s deep-rooted history, culture and values as well as its historical experience. Adhering to international standards, the model aims to meet the need for cutting-edge science and technology in today’s world. Complying with moral and humanitarian values, we aim to raise our students as highly conscious, attentive, solution-oriented and responsible individuals who think critically, read, analyze, research and question.”
“WE HAVE IMPLEMENTED A DIVERSIFIED TEACHING MODEL”
President Erdoğan continued his remarks as follows: “We seek to enrich the human being, whom we have placed at the center of our education system with the Century of Türkiye Education Model, in terms of social and moral aspects through a comprehensive approach. Accordingly, we have made the ‘social responsibility program’ –which is respectful towards our children themselves, their families and the society while also adding value to the environment, living beings and materials– an indispensable part of our education system. With the Century of Türkiye Education Model, we, as an important innovation, have implemented a teaching model diversified according to our students’ learning pace and requirements, which takes into account their individual differences and rejects discriminatory and competition-oriented attitudes.”
