“There is not any stain regarding human rights in our history”
Speaking at an event marking Human Rights Day, President Erdoğan said: “There is not any stain regarding human rights in our history or in our cultural and civilizational codes that we would be ashamed of. On the contrary, we have a cleaner track record and a more embracing mentality than all those who lecture us on rights and freedoms today. We courageously uphold rights, justice, peace and human dignity not only in our region but across the entire world.”

Extending his greetings to all the oppressed and the downtrodden, especially innocent children and their selfless mothers and fathers, all across the world, particularly in Gaza and Sudan, President Erdoğan stressed that Türkiye and the Turkish nation will always stand by them, and said: “There is not any stain regarding human rights in our history or in our cultural and civilizational codes that we would be ashamed of. On the contrary, we have a cleaner track record and a more embracing mentality than all those who lecture us on rights and freedoms today. “WE DO OUR PART WITH THE MAXIM OF ‘STRONG TÜRKİYE FOR THE HUMANITY’”
Stating that Türkiye does its part with the maxim of, “Strong Türkiye for the Humanity” in many regions of crisis, from Gaza to Syria, and from the Russia-Ukraine war to the regions of tension in the East Africa, President Erdoğan drew attention to the first anniversary of the Syrian revolution the previous day, and added: “On the first year of the revolution, I, on behalf of my country and nation, congratulate the brotherly Syrian people, who resisted to the oppressor for 13.5 years, despite all kinds of oppression, violence, atrocity and torture, which make one feel ashamed of their humanity. I remember with grace our Syrian brothers and sisters, who lost their lives in the nefarious attacks of the Assad regime and terrorist organizations.”
“PEACEFUL IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MARCH 10 AGREEMENT WILL THWART THE PLANS OF MALICIOUS CIRCLES”
Underscoring that the peaceful implementation of the March 10 agreement will thwart the plans of malicious circles which invest in an instable, divided and weak Syria, and that Syria will thus march towards a future as a prosperous, victorious and reputable country with territorial integrity, President Erdoğan noted that it is now Palestine’s turn, and went on to say: “The patience of the oppressed will be crowned with victory in Palestine as well, and peace and freedom will prevail there as well. A sovereign Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders will definitely be established with Allah’s permission.”
