“Today is the dawn of a great and strong Türkiye”
Addressing the AK Party’s 32nd Consultation and Assessment Meeting, President Erdoğan, as regards the terrorist organization’s laying down arms, said: “Today the Manzikert spirit, the Al-Quds alliance and the Independence War’s soul are being reshaped. Today is the dawn of a great and strong Türkiye.”
President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the party’s 32nd Consultation and Assessment Meeting in the Kızılcahamam district of Ankara.
Recalling the 12 soldiers who died a martyr’s death due to exposure to coal gas during the search operations in the area of the Operation Claw-Lock, President Erdoğan wished Allah’s mercy upon the soldiers, and extended his condolences to their relatives and the Turkish nation.
“WE SEND OUR PRAYERS TO THE PEOPLE OF GAZA”
Also touching upon the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide, which he described as one of the most disgraceful incidents of the history of humanity, President Erdoğan said Türkiye still shares the inexpressible pain its Bosnian brothers and sisters suffered 30 years ago, and that they continue stand with Bosnia and Herzegovina and their Bosnian brothers and sisters when need be in order for similar sufferings to not be experienced again.
“We also hereby send our prayers to the people of Gaza, who have been exposed to a genocide for 22 months before the eyes of the entire civilized world just like our Bosnian brothers and sisters, and express our solidarity and unity with the dignified struggle they have been putting up against oppression and occupation,” President Erdoğan added.
“DOORS OF A GREAT AND STRONG TÜRKİYE HAVE OPENED UP TODAY”
“As of yesterday, the 47-year-long scourge of terror has inshallah entered the process of ending. Türkiye has started as of yesterday to close a long, painful page full of tears. Let us all remember that today is a new day. Today, a new page has opened up in history. Today, the doors of a great Türkiye, a strong Türkiye and of the Century of Türkiye have opened up wide,” President Erdoğan said.
Drawing attention to the separatist terrorist organization’s first act on August 14, 1984, President Erdoğan stressed that nearly 10 thousand security officers have been martyrized in anti-terror fight and almost 50 thousand citizens have lost their lives in the terrorist acts since then, and said: “First of all, I once again wish Allah’s mercy upon our martyrs and our citizens who lost their lives. We never have and never will forget them. Our country will inshallah live forever. Our star-crescent flag will inshallah fly freely forever in our skies. Our martyrs, who watered our country’s lands with their blood, and who painted our star-crescent flag with their red blood, will always be our loved ones.”
“TERROR-FREE TÜRKİYE PROJECT IS NOT AN OUTCOME OF A NEGOTIATION”
Stating that they have been managing a very sensitive and a very cautious process to make use of the window of opportunity that has opened up with the terrorist organization’s decision to dissolve itself and lay down arms, President Erdoğan stressed that the Terror-free Türkiye Project is not an outcome of a negotiation, a deal or a give-and-take process.
Underscoring that only terror barons and those who feed on blood win with the existence of terror, President Erdoğan said: “Today we are foiling this dirty game, and razing it to the ground.”
Further noting that today history repeats itself, and that Turks and Kurds once again embrace one another with affection, President Erdoğan added: “Today the Manzikert spirit, the Al-Quds alliance and the Independence War’s soul are being reshaped. Today is the dawn of a great and strong Türkiye.”
“EACH AND EVERY INDIVIDUAL OF TÜRKİYE IS A FIRST-CLASS CITIZEN”
Underscoring that from now on they will sit down and talk face to face without arms and without violence, President Erdoğan went on to say: “Each and every individual of our country is a first-class citizen in the eyes of the state, be them Turk, Kurd, Arab, Sunni, Alevi, rightist, leftist, rich or poor. Always remember that the Republic of Türkiye is the common home and common roof of all of us. We are all together Türkiye despite all our differences. We have been putting up this struggle for 23 years, and Türkiye is inshallah crowning this struggle today.”
Underscoring that they see not only the problem of the Kurdish citizens, but also of their Kurdish brothers and sisters in Iraq and Syria as their own problem as well, President Erdoğan drew attention to the impact of the developments in Türkiye on Iraq, and said: “Our Kurdish brothers and sisters living in peace, calm and security in Syria is essential to us as well.”
Pointing to the fact that U.S. ambassador to Türkiye Tom Barrack is also the Special Envoy for Syria, President Erdoğan went on to say: “They have held talks and meetings in Syria. The messages given there are very positive and very pleasing for us. We continue to work with the new Syrian government and international partners in order to rapidly create such a climate.”
“WE WILL ALL TOGETHER BUILD THE CENTURY OF TÜRKİYE”
Further stating that they have decided to walk together on this path as AK Party, the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) and the Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (DEM), President Erdoğan said: “From now on there is no need to clench fists. We will shake hands, embrace each other, talk to each other, and take a step towards each other. With Allah’s permission, we will all together build the Century of Türkiye hand in hand and heart to heart. Never forget that with the end of terror, the State of the Republic of Türkiye will be much stronger and a lot more self-confident than the past. From now on we will throw all our energy into our primary job, and mobilize our resources for not anti-terror fight, but for development, for prosperity, and for a prosperous and victorious Türkiye. Türkiye will grow bigger through brotherhood. Türkiye will grow stronger with democracy. Türkiye will walk towards the future in stability and security.”
