“Türkiye is going through a highly sensitive period during which it must devote all its energy to matters concerning its survival”

Addressing AK Party’s Parliamentary Group Meeting, President Erdoğan said: “Türkiye is going through a highly sensitive period during which it must devote all its energy and capacity to matters concerning its survival. We need cooperation and a spirit of solidarity to achieve the goal of a terror-free Türkiye, whose strategic importance is now well recognized.”
President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the party’s group meeting at the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (GNAT).
“Türkiye is going through a highly sensitive period during which it must devote all its energy and capacity to matters concerning its survival. We need cooperation and a spirit of solidarity to achieve the goal of a terror-free Türkiye, whose strategic importance is now well recognized. As the persons carrying the responsibility of the nation, we, all of us, should display a collective stance under the roof of this noble Assembly,” President Erdoğan said.
“NETANYAHU HAS ALREADY SURPASSED THE TYRANT HITLER IN COMMITTING THE CRIME OF GENOCIDE”
President Erdoğan stated: “Israel’s policies of massacre and occupation in Palestine has gained a different dimension after October 7, 2023, evolving into mass slaughter, mass punishment, and ultimately, into genocide. In the atrocities escalating for 620 consecutive days, over 55 thousand innocent Gazans, mostly children and women, have been killed. Israel’s attacks have now assumed a much more alarming and heinous aspect. Two million innocent civilians, struggling to survive in Gaza – 80 percent of which is in a state of rubble – have been condemned to total hunger, thirst, and lack of medication. What is more, Israel has been raining down bombs and bullets on innocent people swarming to aid distribution points. It is treacherously shooting and murdering hundreds of people crippled by hunger on a daily basis. I am saying it openly that the footages coming out of Gaza make even the most terrifying photos and videos of the World War II seem very innocent. Scenes as appalling, painful, inhumane, and unconscionable as those in Gaza may not have occurred during the Holocaust in Europe. Netanyahu has already surpassed the tyrant Hitler in committing the crime of genocide. We hope he will not share the same fate. Sooner or later, he will inshallah stand trial before an independent international tribunal, face all his actions, and be held accountable, not in the hereafter but in this world, for the murders and massacres he committed.”
“IT IS A NATURAL, LEGITIMATE AND LAWFUL RIGHT FOR IRAN TO DEFEND ITSELF”
“Israel, while committing genocide in Gaza, has also attacked Lebanon, Syria and Yemen, massacring civilians,” President Erdoğan said. “In the West Bank, it is conducting attacks on civilian residential areas on a daily basis, killing innocents and occupying these areas step by step. As if these were not enough, Israel has further expanded the scope of its banditry by attacking certain targets in Iran and carrying out assassinations within the country. I have to make it clear above all else that it is a natural, legitimate and lawful right for Iran to defend itself in the face of this banditry and state terrorism of Israel. Iran has been flagrantly attacked by a spoiled, reckless and frenzied country that has no regard for law, rules, or principles. Moreover, these attacks were conducted at a time when the nuclear negotiations were underway with Iran. Israel, which possesses nuclear weapons and knows no rules in its own nuclear activities, committed an outright act of terror without waiting for the end of the negotiations. In the face of this aggression unfolding before the eyes of humanity, states and international institutions, particularly the United Nations, remain silent, with some even supporting this banditry unfortunately.”
President Erdoğan went on: “Those who stood idly by while a scene shameful for humanity was unfolding in Gaza for exactly 620 days are now yet again shrouded in a deafening silence as the fire is rapidly engulfing the whole region. Let me reiterate that remaining silent to this aggression, this lawlessness, this state terrorism and this banditry is tantamount to giving approval to what is happening. The blood of the massacred civilians, murdered babies, and children has splattered not only on the hands and foreheads of those who support Israel’s arrogance, but also on those who remain silent. This blood, this stain of shame sticks not only to Netanyahu’s hands and forehead, not only to hands and foreheads of the Zionists supporting him, but also to the hands, foreheads, and consciences, if they have any, of anyone who remains silent and fails to act. We are making every possible effort to stop this inhumane aggression not only against Gaza but also against Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, and our neighbor Iran, and will patiently continue to do so.”
“WE ARE ON THE SIDE OF JUSTICE, DIALOGUE AND DIPLOMACY”
President Erdoğan added: “We are not on the side of violence or oppression but on the side of justice, dialogue and diplomacy. Accordingly, we have been engaged in an intensive diplomacy traffic since June 13 to end the aggression. I spoke with U.S. President Mr. Trump and Iranian President Mr. Pezeshkian twice each. Similarly, I had telephone conversations with the leaders of the brotherly countries in the region. With Russian President Mr. Putin, we thoroughly discussed the issue. Besides me, my friends are also constantly in touch with their counterparts. As a country that has been capable of maintaining dialogue with Iran since the very beginning, we have endeavored for the resolution of the nuclear issue through diplomacy. Today as well, we are doing, and will continue to do, whatever is required of us to make sure weapons fall silent.”
