“Türkiye’s reputation extends way beyond its lands”

Speaking at AK Party’s Provincial Advisory Council Meeting in Rize, President Erdoğan said: “Türkiye is a country whose horizon cannot be confined to 783 thousand square kilometers. Türkiye’s reputation, power, and the weight of its words extend way beyond its lands.”

President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the party’s Provincial Advisory Council Meeting in Rize.

Drawing attention to the good news about Gaza, President Erdoğan pointed to the support President Trump of the U.S. and the leaders of brotherly countries Egypt and Qatar have provided to the negotiations, and said: “First of all, I would like to stress that Türkiye is much bigger than Türkiye. Türkiye is a country whose horizon cannot be confined to 783 thousand square kilometers. Türkiye’s reputation, power, and the weight of its words extend way beyond its lands.”

Stating that Türkiye has been one of the locomotives of the recent process with its active foreign policy, principled stance and diplomatic experience, President Erdoğan added: “Our Palestinian brothers and sisters, especially Hamas, have shown with a pretty sagacious attitude that they are ready for peace. And other Muslim countries in the region have supported the negotiations. Thus, people, even with a heavy heart, have started to smile for the first time after a two-year-long oppression, genocide, destruction and atrocity. I am once again stressing hereby that I salute Palestine and Palestinians. No matter who says what, we favor every effort, signature and step that pleases the oppressed Gazans.”

President Erdoğan went on to say: “We fully support every project that will permanently stop the massacre and genocide ongoing for two years in Gaza. We as Türkiye have always said that ‘a just peace will have no losers’. We wholeheartedly want that the reached agreement will lead to lasting peace, calm and security in Gaza and in other Palestinian territories. I thank all the leaders that have supported this process. I congratulate all our intelligence officers and diplomats who have firmly represented Türkiye’s conscientious, righteous and principled stance there. From now on, there should be no turning backs. The Israeli government must stand behind its signature. It must put a complete end to its aggressive policies that pose a threat to the security of its own citizens as well as the entire region. There should be no obstacles before the entry of humanitarian aid to Gaza. The two-state solution is the key to permanent peace in our region.”
