“We aim to increase our foreign trade with Turkic states up to $100 billion in the long term”
Speaking at a World Turkic Language Family Day event, President Erdoğan said: “Among many other topics, economic strategies constitute the backbone of our vision document. Expanding trade volume, improving the investment environment, and the common market goal will elevate the existing economic relations to a new level. We aim to increase our foreign trade with the Turkic states up to $60 billion in the medium term and $100 billion in the long term.”
President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at a World Turkic Language Family Day event at AK Party Congress Center in Ankara.
“I am highly delighted to be with you at the launch ceremony for our party's Turkic World Vision Document,” President Erdoğan said. “Today, we also observe the 15 December World Turkic Language Family Day, declared by UNESCO at our request.”
“THE TURKIC WORLD VISION DOCUMENT ADOPTS A HOLISTIC APPROACH”
“The Turkic World Vision Document adopts a holistic approach across 61 interconnected subheadings. The sections, structured across a broad spectrum —from economic integration goals to cultural cooperation, from energy security to transportation networks, and from education to youth policies — aim to mobilize the existing potential of the Turkic States in an efficient manner. The growing trust among countries, reinforced by the reciprocal steps we have taken especially in recent times, further strengthens the feasibility of these goals. In this way, plans for the future of the Turkic World go beyond abstract proposals and are transformed into concrete projects.
“INTEGRATION OF ENERGY CORRIDORS, LOGISTICS LINES, AND DIGITAL INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS WILL TRANSFORM THE TURKIC WORLD INTO AN ECONOMIC POWERHOUSE”
“Among many other topics, economic strategies constitute the backbone of our vision document. Expanding trade volume, improving the investment environment, and the common market goal will elevate the existing economic relations to a new level. The integration of energy corridors, logistics lines, and digital infrastructure projects will transform the Turkic world into a rising economic powerhouse on the global stage. We aim to increase our foreign trade with the Turkic states up to $60 billion in the medium term and $100 billion in the long term. Transportation and logistics strategies are also important components of this vision. The integration of the Middle Corridor, the corridor stretching from Baku to Nakhchivan, and the Caspian Sea transit routes into a unified system will accelerate trade flows between the Turkic states,” President Erdoğan said.
“TÜRKİYE’S ACCUMULATED EXPERIENCE IN INDUSTRY, TECHNOLOGY, AGRICULTURE, ENERGY, AND LOGISTICS OFFERS SIGNIFICANT OPPORTUNITIES”
“We have also included in the document goals such as strengthening the institutional capacity of the Organization of Turkic States, establishing common foreign policy mechanisms, and increasing the international recognition of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. At the same time, the establishment of financial mechanisms is of vital importance for ensuring sustainable regional integration. We emphasized critical issues such as public–private partnership models, digital finance solutions, and attracting international investors to the region. Türkiye’s accumulated experience in industry, technology, agriculture, energy, and logistics offers significant opportunities in this regard,” President Erdoğan said.
“One of the distinctive features of our Vision Document is that it puts forward many concrete proposals aimed at deepening our cooperation. Proposals such as the establishment of a Turkic World Productivity Agency, an Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation Center, an Environmental Fund, an Emergency Response and Health Support Unit, and a Common Language Platform will constitute important alternatives in building our shared and prosperous future,” President Erdoğan said.
