“We are launching the ‘Housing Project of the Century’ in the Century of Türkiye”

 

Speaking at the “Housing Project of the Century” event, President Erdoğan said: “In the Century of Türkiye, we are initiating a mobilization for 500,000 social houses and thus launching the ‘Housing Project of the Century’. As part of the project, we will build a total of 500,000 houses across our 81 provinces.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the “Housing Project of the Century” event in Istanbul.

President Erdoğan said: “In November, we will have completed 23 years of serving the nation, almost a quarter century. When we first took office, we said ‘it is our duty to raise our people’s life standards, to ensure the state fulfills its social responsibilities, to work without a break, and to become one of the most developed and most prosperous countries in the world’. Thanks be to Allah, 23 years have passed since, and throughout these 23 years, we have always stood by our nation’s side and offered services to all of our 86 million citizens, from west to east, north to south, without excluding or marginalizing anyone.”

Noting that the government continues to work with the same level of determination today as well, adding new ones to the existing services and projects every passing day, President Erdoğan stated: “Never falling into complacency, never gearing down and never losing momentum, we continue down our path at full pace. We continue to meet our nation’s every need and instill hope, confidence and joy for every household. It is vital for us to make sure that every family enjoys a warm home and a secure house, meeting their housing needs at the lowest possible cost.”

“We are crowning all our efforts for our nation with a new project now. In the Century of Türkiye, we are initiating a mobilization for 500,000 social houses and thus launching the ‘Housing Project of the Century’,” President Erdoğan stressed. “As part of the project, we will build a total of 500,000 houses across our 81 provinces. We allocated 100,000 of these 500,000 houses for Istanbul. We will build a total of 100,000 houses in each of Istanbul’s two sides. We will provide 30,000 new homes to Ankara; 21,000 to Izmir; 13,000 to Bursa, Gaziantep and Konya, each; and, 12,000 to Hatay and Diyarbakır, each.”
