“We are making great leaps forward in every area”
Delivering remarks following the Presidential Cabinet Meeting, President Erdoğan said: “We, in unity and solidarity as the 86 million and by taking strength and courage from each other, are making great leaps forward in every area. As the world is going through a painful transformation, at the center of which our region is located, we as Türkiye are advancing determinedly towards the goals we have set.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered remarks to reporters during a press conference following the Presidential Cabinet Meeting at the Presidential Complex.
“TÜRKİYE IS ADVANCING DETERMINEDLY TOWARDS ITS GOALS”
President Erdoğan said: “We, in unity and solidarity as the 86 million and by taking strength and courage from each other, are making great leaps forward in every area. As the world is going through a painful transformation, at the center of which our region is located, we as Türkiye are advancing determinedly towards the goals we have set. We as the nation are feeling the hope and excitement of getting closer to beautiful days each passing day. No matter how big the obstacles that raise before us are, we, with Allah’s permission, have more than enough will, determination and courage to overcome them.”
“WE HAVE LEFT BEHIND MANY EUROPEAN COUNTRIES IN CASE CLOSURE TIMES”
Reminding the recent appointment of 1,357 judges and public prosecutors, President Erdoğan stated that Türkiye, by reducing case closure times, have left behind many European countries in this area, and continued as follows: “In the similar vein, our rate of compliance with the decisions of European Court of Human Rights, which is 90 per cent, is way above the member states of the European Council.”
Stressing that those, who severely criticize Türkiye on these issues, remain silent to Israel, which has massacred 270 journalists in the Gaza genocide, being ahead of Türkiye and Palestine in the so-called press freedom index, President Erdoğan added that when it comes to Türkiye, justice disappears, objectivity fades out and is replaced with ideological tunnel visions.
“TÜRKİYE HAS TAUGHT THE ENTIRE WORLD A LESSON ON HUMAN RIGHTS”
Drawing attention to the 77th anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, President Erdoğan stated that given the conflicts that have erupted in the recent years in the region, they see that the Declaration is being trampled upon, and said: “The crimes of war and genocide Israel has been recklessly committing in Gaza for two years before the eyes of the entire world are the most concrete examples of this. Likewise, the Baath regime violated all the rules, values, principles and norms regarding human rights, from chemical attacks to tortures, for 13.5 years in our neighbor Syria. International community and organizations have not been able to prevent these violations that have occurred in different parts of the world, and have been a mere onlooker to the problems instead of solving them. Türkiye, as the state and the nation, has taught the entire world a lesson on human rights with its peace- and justice-oriented efforts in Gaza, Syria, Somalia, Yemen, Libya and in all the regions soaked in blood and tears.”
