“We are the world’s biggest 11th country in defense industry exports”

 

Speaking at TEKNOFEST Istanbul, President Erdoğan said: “We are writing new success stories with the products and systems we produce by ourselves on land, in the air and at sea. We are the world’s biggest 11th country in defense industry exports. We are among the top three in UAV and UCAV technology. We are one of the 10 countries to launch their own warships, from design to mass production.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the third-day activity of TEKNOFEST, the world’s largest aviation, space and technology festival, at Istanbul Atatürk Airport.

“THE ACHIEVEMENTS WE HAVE MADE ARE NEVER A COINCIDENCE”

Thanking the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Turkish Technology Team Foundation, which organize TEKNOFEST, and other stakeholders, who contribute to the festival, President Erdoğan said: “This year 565 thousand teams and 1.2 million competitors from 96 countries as well as from our 81 cities have participated in the 64 different competitions at TEKNOFEST Istanbul.”

Underscoring that Türkiye has gained a significant momentum in technology and especially in defense industry, President Erdoğan noted: “Today, the moves made by the Turkish defense industry are mentioned in the entire world, starting from our region. The achievements we have made despite all embargoes are never a coincidence.”

“WE ARE ONE OF THE 10 COUNTRIES TO LAUNCH THEIR OWN WARSHIPS”

President Erdoğan continued as follows: “We are writing new success stories with the products and systems we produce by ourselves on land, in the air and at sea. We are the world’s biggest 11th country in defense industry exports. We are among the top three in UAV and UCAV technology. We are one of the 10 countries to launch their own warships, from design to mass production. We are getting more and more stronger with our UAVs and UCAVs as well as planes and helicopters, all of which are domestically produced, in Sky Homeland; with our landing ships, unmanned surface vehicles, frigates, corvettes as well as patrol ships and minelayers at Blue Homeland; and with our new generation unmanned vehicles, tanks and autonomous armored combat vehicles as well as control, radar and electronic warfare systems on land.”

“AL-QUDS IS THE HONOR OF ALL THE HUMANITY”

Stressing that Türkiye, with its increasing power, gives hope to the oppressed and fear to the oppressors, President Erdoğan said: “You all have seen as well. Someone came out the other day and spewed hatred on us for not giving the Silvan inscription, which is the legacy of our ancestors. You know who I mean, right? I know you know. If you know it, it is enough. He is trying out something in his way by uttering impertinent words about al-Quds, our first kiblah. We are obviously aware of what they are seeking to do. Let me explain to those, who have the blood of 65 thousand Gazans on their hands, that al-Quds is the honor of all the humanity as well as of the Muslims.”

“Defending al-Quds means defending peace and the common values of humanity. Every attack on al-Quds will be resisted by defenders, who are wholeheartedly in love with this sacred and proud city. They are now chasing after an inscription without any shame. We will not give a single pebble of al-Quds to you, let alone that inscription,” President Erdoğan added, noting that they will continue their efforts until an independent and sovereign Palestinian state, with al-Quds as its capital, is established based on the 1967 borders.
