“We care deeply about the family institution”
Speaking at the Family and Culture-Arts Symposium in Ankara, President Erdoğan said: “We continue to support our works on family with culture and arts, and to lay the keystones of the path to the Century of Türkiye. Both our ministries and relevant institutions and organizations act with a multidimensional risk prevention approach. We care deeply about the family institution in a period when the global capitalism has opened up new fronts, and when cultural capitalism as well as digital siege further intensify all across the world.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the Family and Culture-Arts Symposium held at Nation’s Library in Ankara.
“WE CONTINUE TO SUPPORT OUR WORKS ON FAMILY WITH CULTURE AND ARTS”
Stating that they continue to support the works on family with culture and arts, and to lay the keystones of the path to the Century of Türkiye, President Erdoğan said: “Both our ministries and relevant institutions and organizations act with a multidimensional risk prevention approach. We care deeply about the family institution in a period when the global capitalism has opened up new fronts, and when cultural capitalism as well as digital siege further intensify all across the world. We take necessary measures against such impositions as desexualization and such deviant movements as LGBT, and never give way to any concession, negligence or complacency in this sense.”
“WE MUST PROTECT OUR CHILDREN AGAINST SUCH RISKS SUCH AS CYBER BULLYING”
Reminding that November 20 also marks the World Children’s Day, President Erdoğan stated that they as Türkiye endeavor to ensure children’s rights to live, education, health and protection as well as to freedom of expression, and noted: “Today, our children grow up, learn, spend time, play games and make friends not just in streets, neighborhoods, or at schools, but also in digital world. While this technological transformation provides significant facilities in areas such as access to information, productivity and communication, it also brings our children face to face with new threats. We must protect our children against numerous risks such as cyber bullying, digital addiction, privacy violation and violent games. To that end, we have set a detailed roadmap with the Türkiye Child Rights Strategy Document and Action Plan for 2023-2028. Afterwards, we have put into practice the Action Plan for the Empowerment of Children in Digital World. We increase digital literacy, support secure digital applications and expand training programmes for our children and families.”
