“We have achieved a major transformation in transportation”

Speaking at an iftar with drivers, President Erdoğan said: “We have achieved a major transformation in the field of transportation by increasing the length of our divided roads from 6,100 kilometers to 29,373 kilometers, the length of our highways from 1,714 kilometers to 3,726 kilometers and the number of our road tunnels from 83 to 495.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan shared an iftar with professional drivers in Ankara.
Making a speech at the event, President Erdoğan warned against attempts to denigrate or marginalize professional drivers over some isolated incidents, and noted that it is not right to generalize the mistakes made by a few members of a very large group.
Stressing that they have taken Türkiye to a very prestigious level by working day and night with the belief that “road means civilization,” President Erdoğan said: “We have achieved a major transformation in the field of transportation by increasing the length of our divided roads from 6,100 kilometers to 29,373 kilometers, the length of our highways from 1,714 kilometers to 3,726 kilometers and the number of our road tunnels from 83 to 495.”
