“We have no tolerance for violence in healthcare”

Speaking after an iftar dinner with healthcare workers, President Erdoğan said: “We have no tolerance for violence in healthcare, as in all other areas. We pursue a zero-tolerance principle on this issue.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed healthcare workers after an iftar dinner in Istanbul.

“We have no tolerance for violence in healthcare, as in all other areas. We pursue a zero-tolerance principle on this issue. We cannot accept by any means the use of violence against our doctors and healthcare workers who save lives and help people regain health, their most precious treasure. Let me underline that our sensitivity regarding violence against healthcare workers is already at the highest level and it will remain so,” President Erdoğan said.

Drawing attention to the reforms implemented in Türkiye in the past 22 years, President Erdoğan added: “Whatever we have done in the area of healthcare in the past 22 years, we have done it in solidarity with our doctors and healthcare workers. Whatever we have achieved, we have achieved it shoulder to shoulder with our doctors, nurses, and healthcare workers. We will inshallah continue on our path in the same manner.”
