“We will continue to work with determination to elevate our country to the level it deserves in every field”

Issuing a message on Eid al-Fitr, President Erdoğan said: “As the President and the government, we will continue to work and endeavor with determination to elevate our country to the level it deserves in every field in line with the Century of Türkiye vision.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan issued a message and congratulated citizens on Eid al-Fitr.
“WE HAVE UNFORTUNATELY SPENT THIS RAMADAN, TOO, WITH A HEAVY HEART”
“I greet you from the bottom of my heart with affection and respect. I wholeheartedly congratulate you on the holy Eid al-Fitr, which we have reached by completing yet another Ramadan, the beginning of which is mercy, the middle forgiveness, and the end salvation from eternal torment. I hope Eid al-Fitr will lead to peace, serenity, welfare and brotherhood for our country, our nation, the Islamic world and the whole humanity. I thank my Lord for enabling us to reach this Eid al-Fitr as well in good health and well-being.
We have unfortunately spent this Ramadan, too, with a heavy heart due to the oppressions, massacres, and sufferings unfolding in various corners of our kindred geography. Particularly the genocide taking place in Gaza is constantly reaching a more alarming dimension, with scenes that will tear out the heart of anyone who has even a little piece of conscience, morality and reason. As Türkiye, we take a clear stance against this atrocity and work to heal the wounds of our brothers and sisters through our aid. Yet, as long as the world, particularly western countries, rejects to take concrete action against this oppression, the courage and audacity of the oppressors will further increase and the cries of the innocents will reach the heavens. The upcoming period will inshallah lead to an awakening on this issue all across the world.
Also, we closely follow the developments taking place in our neighbor Syria and take necessary measures accordingly. We are aware of those seeking to perpetuate the instability along our southern borders by undermining the steps taken within the framework of Syria’s territorial integrity and national unity, and will inshallah prevent them all.”
“WE MAINTAIN THE WORK, WHICH WE LAUNCHED TO ACHIEVE OUR GOAL OF A TERROR-FREE TÜRKİYE, IN LINE WITH OUR ROADMAP”
“Likewise, we maintain the work, which we launched to achieve our goal of a terror-free Türkiye, in line with our roadmap. Our state has done its part by ensuring that a call has been issued. Now it is the organization’s turn to apply with the call without any ifs and buts. Our time and patience are not limitless in this regard. We expect the organization to dissolve itself and lay down its arms completely without further delay. Global, regional and our internal dynamics offer a foundation that is more favorable than ever before in order for this process to conclude successfully. Once we achieve this together, we will inshallah have completely rid our country of a 40-year bloody and challenging scourge.”
“WE DELIVERED THE KEYS OF 201 THOUSAND HOUSES TO THEIR RIGHTFUL OWNERS”
“Another issue we have always kept high on our agenda for the last two years is the reconstruction of the earthquake zone. On the occasion of the second anniversary of the earthquake, we delivered the keys of 201 thousand houses to their rightful owners. We aim to increase this number to 453 thousand, including residential units and workplaces, by the end of the year. Therefore, we will be fulfilling our promises to our nation by fully compensating for the physical destruction caused by the earthquake. The memory of our losses, each one of whom we remember with mercy, will of course live on in our hearts forever. We will revive our cities and will offer a new horizon and a new opportunity for our citizens whose lives were upended by this massive disaster. May Allah protect our country and nation from such catastrophes. The quake threat, for sure, remains our most important issue in many parts of our country, particularly in the Marmara region. Even though we as the government make all our plannings and preparations, we cannot carry out a transformation at the pace we desire due to municipalities’ indifference. We will take more effective steps in the period ahead, if needed through additional measures to overcome this problem.”
“NO ONE SHOULD FALL FOR THE ATTEMPTS TO POLITICIZE AND DILUTE THE JUDICIAL PROCESSES IN OUR COUNTRY”
“The recent operations conducted by our security forces and judicial units have helped us better understand the reasons for the delays caused by municipalities.
Looting the resources, which have been allocated to serve Istanbul’s infrastructure and superstructure, for commercial self-interests and personal ambitions is the greatest betrayal ever committed against this city’s residents. Every Istanbulite is, for sure, entitled to hold to account those who steal their own and their children’s future, security and peace. No one should fall for the attempts to politicize and dilute the judicial processes in our country that are applauded as ‘a requirement of democracy, rule of law, ethical politics, and principled administration’ when they take place in western countries. We leave those, who lose their mind to the point of targeting our economy and public security to cover up the scheme of graft and corruption and who act with the understanding that ‘if we take down Türkiye, we take down the government,’ to the discretion of our beloved nation. I offer my gratitude to each one of my Istanbulite brothers and sisters who, taking into consideration the developments in the judicial process, defends their lives and city through a fair and conscientious stance.
As the President and the government, we will continue to work and endeavor with determination to elevate our country to the level it deserves in every field in line with the Century of Türkiye vision. I expect all our citizens that will hit the roads for the Ramadan holiday, which we extended to nine days with an administrative leave, to abide by traffic rules. I wish for Eid al-Fitr to bring tranquility to souls, love to hearts, serenity to our country, and peace to innocent geographies. I once again greet each one of my citizens with affection. Eid Mubarak. Stay in good health…”
