“We will not allow anyone to steal the dreams of our youth”
Speaking at an iftar dinner with the education community, President Erdoğan said: “We will never fall for such dirty tricks that caused great suffering to our nation in the past. With Allah’s permission, we will not allow anyone to steal the dreams or crush the hopes of our youth, who are the guarantee of our future.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at an iftar dinner with the education community at the Beştepe Nation’s Exhibition Hall in Ankara.
“New generations who not only encompass the era but also go beyond it, who combine knowledge with wisdom, virtue, prudence and discernment are the strongest guarantee of the future of this nation. With our Century of Türkiye Education Model, we aim to raise young people who are equipped with these qualities, molded with these values and who have the will to carry this country to a much higher level,” President Erdoğan said.
“In the last 23 years, we have realized a silent revolution in education as well as in many fields. We have elevated our educational institutions to European standards with all their aspects, from infrastructure to technical facilities. We have reduced the number of students in classrooms to an ideal level by reducing the number of students to 23 in primary education and 22 in secondary education. We have strengthened our reforms on curriculum with physical investments. We have increased the total number of classrooms to 735 thousand by building over 360 thousand classrooms. Our students' access to educational materials is at the highest level. Via the modern educational information system, our children can easily access educational materials,” President Erdoğan said.
“We are aware of the games of those greedy and rapacious people. We are of course aware of the cheap calculations made by cowards hiding behind the excitement of some young people. We will never fall for such dirty tricks that caused great suffering to our nation in the past. With Allah’s permission, we will not allow anyone to steal the dreams or crush the hopes of our youth, who are the guarantee of our future,” President Erdoğan said.
