President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech after an iftar dinner with farmers in Ankara.
“In 2025, we will provide 18.5 billion liras of rural development support from the budget as well as with credit and co-financing assistance from international organizations and institutions. We will therefore invest approximately 25 billion liras in rural areas and create employment for 10 thousand people. Also, we will continue to use the new funds offered by international financial institutions for the development of the sector in areas such as flood control projects, drought prevention systems, rural development, and forestry. Starting from this year, we will provide one billion dollars, or 37 billion liras, of additional grants in aid to our farmers over the next five years for various areas of agriculture. I would like to note that 250 million dollars of these grants is specifically allocated for the earthquake zone,” President Erdoğan said.
