“We will reduce inflation to single digits”

 

Addressing a meeting with NGO representatives in Rize, President Erdoğan said: “We first took inflation, a headache for us and for the rest of the world since the coronavirus pandemic, under control and then put it into a downward trajectory. Firmly maintaining this policy, we will reduce inflation to single digits and will thus help our people from every walk of life to feel relieved.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at a meeting with NGO and industry representatives in Rize.

“We first took inflation, a headache for us and for the rest of the world since the coronavirus pandemic, under control and then put it into a downward trajectory. Firmly maintaining this policy, we will reduce inflation to single digits and will thus help our people from every walk of life to feel relieved,” President Erdoğan said.

“While firmly carrying on with the disinflation process, we will also further strengthen our policies focused on investments, employment, production and exports. Well aware of the business community’s expectations of our government, we will take steps to meet these expectations one by one in parallel with the improvement in inflation.”
