“We will strengthen our defense cooperation with our European allies on win-win basis”
Holding a press conference following the Presidential Cabinet Meeting, President Erdoğan said: “As we are rapidly commissioning our indigenous and national defense projects, we will also strengthen our defense cooperation with our European allies on win-win basis on the other. Türkiye will continue to make history in defense industry despite all overt and covert prevention efforts.”

“MARKET VALUE OF OUR INVESTMENTS ACROSS AFRICA HAS SURPASSED 15 BILLION DOLLARS”
Stating that they as the Presidential Cabinet continue their efforts to build the Century of Türkiye with an intensive agenda both at home and abroad, President Erdoğan drew attention to the Türkiye-Africa Business and Economy Forum held in Istanbul on October 17, and said: “Our trade volume with Africa, which was 5.4 billion dollars in 2003, reached 40 billion dollars at the end of 2024. The Turkish contractors in Africa have undertaken over two thousand projects, whose total value approximates 97 billion dollars. The market value of our investments across the continent, on the other hand, has surpassed 15 billion dollars. We will inshallah make further progress with the 4th Türkiye-Africa Partnership Summit that we will hold next year.”
“TÜRKİYE WILL CONTINUE TO MAKE HISTORY IN DEFENSE INDUSTRY”
Pointing to the respective visits of Prime Minister Keir Starmer of the United Kingdom and Chancellor Friedrich Merz of Germany to Ankara, President Erdoğan noted that they addressed all the issues, investment, trade and defense in particular, within the bilateral agendas, and added: “We have ushered in a new era with the agreement for the procurement of Eurofighter Typhoon warplanes. As we are rapidly commissioning our indigenous and national defense projects, we will also strengthen our defense cooperation with our European allies on win-win basis on the other. We will inshallah add our national combat aircraft Kaan to the inventory of Air Forces on the date we have set.”
Reminding the Spanish government’s approval for the procurement of 45 HÜRJET Jet Trainer, President Erdoğan said: “Türkiye will continue to make history in defense industry despite all overt and covert prevention efforts.”
“THE WINNER OF A TERROR-FREE TÜRKİYE WILL BE THE ENTIRE 86 MILLION”
Also touching upon the terror-free Türkiye process, President Erdoğan stressed that the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia will gain significant momentum once the terror threat is permanently eliminated, and went on to say: “When we achieve the goal of a terror-free Türkiye, the winner will inshallah be each and every individual of the 86 million. Not only our country, but also our brothers and sisters in the region, from Syria to Iraq, will benefit from the opportunities provided by the terror-free climate. We do whatever we do for this, we endeavor for this. Nothing can be achieved through terror, violence, arms or separatist agendas; no one can benefit from this.”
