“Wherever there is oppression or injustice, we are there to end it”
Addressing the International Benevolence Awards Ceremony, President Erdoğan said: “Wherever there are neglected and oppressed people, we are there as Türkiye with all our capacity. Wherever there is oppression, injustice, or conflict, we are there to end it. Wherever our friends and cognates face persecution, we are there to stop it. Wherever there is devastation, disaster, or suffering, we are there to heal it and help the innocent.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered remarks during the International Benevolence Awards Ceremony in Ankara.
“WE STRIVE TO BEAUTIFY THE WORLD THROUGH BENEVOLENCE”
President Erdoğan said: “We strive to beautify the world through benevolence. We endeavor to glorify humanity by sowing seeds of benevolence in hearts. We work to fulfill our duty as a human in the best manner by resisting the oppressor and extending a hand to the oppressed. With this understanding, we have wide opened our doors to Syrian refugees who fled the massacres in Syria - where our one million brothers and sisters lost their lives - and took refuge in our country, which they see as a safe haven. We have supported the innocents in Gaza who endured the Zionist regime’s inhumane attacks for 471 days. It is with this understanding that we looked straight into the eyes of the perpetrators of genocide and their supporters and courageously defended the Palestinian cause and the brave children of Gaza at the United Nations General Assembly, humanity’s shared platform, while those who today supposedly call on us to be ‘courageous’ in their own way were then slandering Palestine’s Kuvayı Milliye [National Forces] as a terrorist organization due to their fear of the gang of genocide in those testing days when bombs were raining down on the children of Gaza. Likewise, we mobilize all our means and resources to preserve stability in Somalia, end the infighting in Sudan, and establish lasting peace in Yemen, Afghanistan and Lebanon.”

President Erdoğan stated: “I take great pleasure in noting that wherever there are neglected and oppressed people, we are there as Türkiye with all our capacity. Wherever there is oppression, injustice, or conflict, we are there to end it. Wherever our friends and cognates face persecution, we are there to stop it. Wherever there is devastation, disaster, or suffering, we are there to heal it and help the innocent. Wherever Türkiye’s help is sought, we are there with all our strength and might. As I said yesterday during our parliamentary group meeting, we never hesitate to do whatever it takes to ensure that peace and stability prevail in our region and beyond. We are taking firm steps toward making our country a main hub of peacebuilding and conflict resolution.”
